Can I use a PlantCafe Royalty-free image more than once?
Sure, for example, you may license a beautiful rose photograph. You might use that image on a postcard, in a local newspaper ad, on your website, and maybe even on a billboard! Once you license the image, you may use it over and over and don't even have to tell us. Just remember you must follow the terms of our License Agreement.
What is stock photography?
Stock photography is a collection of images that are not photographed for a specific client or intended use. Instead, the images are catalogued and available for review by someone who may have a need for an image in the collection. You purchase the right to use the image, not the image itself. Because our collection is digital, you can review the photo to assure it meets your needs. You can license and use the photos immediately. Using stock images saves you the cost of hiring a photographer, locating the plant material you need to photograph, getting the photographer to the shoot location, purchasing quality camera equipment, and the very time consuming job of cataloging and editing the photos.
What are rights protected photographs?
This is a term used for exclusive usage of a traditionally licensed stock photo. Rights protection can be an advantage for high-profile projects as it can guarantee some exclusivity. The buyer obtains exclusive use of a stock photo under the terms of the license. These terms may affect the use, media, territory and/or duration in which the stock photo can by used by other buyers. Total protection can be offered to cover all these terms. Pricing for this type of license from PlantCafe begins at $500.00 per photograph. If you desire a unique photograph to place on a delivery vehicle or use for national advertising PlantCafe can help you. License Agreements are tailored to your needs. Contact PlantCafe.com describing your use for a quote.
How does Royalty-Free licensing differ from traditionally licensed images?
Traditionally licensed images can be either non-exclusive or exclusive, meaning that the image is licensed for a specific use. The buyer must also specify, for each use: intended use, media, territory and duration. Pricing is based on these criteria.
Why should I use PlantCafe.com Royalty-free images?
PlantCafe.com Royalty-free images give you great bang for your buck. Do you really need a $500.00 spirea photo to illustrate a regional nursery catalog or make a small display sign? Probably not. Frankly, it is difficult, expensive, time consuming and maybe impossible for you to personally photograph every plant variety you sell. We have those photos for you at a reasonable cost. Our largest customers tend to be those with hundreds or thousands of acres of nursery stock steps from their office door.
What are Royalty-free images?
Royalty-free pricing is based solely on the size of output and resolution required, not the specific image use. Once you license a royalty-free image, you may use it multiple times for multiple projects. The fee you pay is small, because we can allow another company to use that photograph again. PlantCafe still owns the image and copyright to the image. You are licensed to use the image with limited restrictions. Everything is spelled out in the License Agreement at checkout. Our Royalty-free images offer lower price per image and convenience.
